FAQ
Is it safe to take an Evvy test if I’m trying to conceive or might already be pregnant?
Yes. Self-swabbing at home is safe if you’re TTC. Wait at least 24 hours after unprotected sex before testing, since semen can temporarily affect results. If you’re already pregnant, it’s still safe unless your doctor has advised against inserting anything into your vagina due to a high-risk pregnancy. Discuss your results with a licensed care provider. Note: Evvy-affiliated providers cannot prescribe treatment if you are actively pregnant.
If my fertility Microbiome Markers are suboptimal, what are the next steps?
Evvy provides a clear, fertility-minded plan based on your results, including actions you can take. If eligible, you can purchase a custom care program through Evvy’s platform, which may include vaginal antibiotics, probiotics, or other prescriptions—designed to be safe if you’re trying to conceive.
How do Evvy’s fertility insights compare to traditional fertility tests at a doctor’s office?
Traditional testing may include bloodwork (e.g., AMH for ovarian reserve) and imaging (e.g., HSG for fallopian tubes). There’s no single test that gives the full picture. Evvy focuses on your vaginal microbiome, which research links to outcomes like implantation and IVF success—offering insights that weren’t broadly available before.
How will my test kit get to me?
When you order on Bird&Be, your Evvy test ships directly from Evvy. Any Bird&Be items ship separately. For questions about your Evvy kit, contact support@evvy.com.
How long does it take to get results?
Final microbiome results (metagenomic sequencing) typically take 7–10 business days from lab receipt. If you add the Expanded PCR Panel, preliminary PCR results arrive in 1–3 business days (includes STIs, 10 antibiotic resistances, and 11 common microbes). You’ll get email updates as your sample moves through the lab.
Where does Evvy ship to?
Evvy test kits are available in the U.S. and Canada (excluding Quebec). Clinical care/prescription treatment (not included with the test) isn’t available in: AR, DE, KS, MS, NM, PR, RI, SC, VT, U.S. Virgin Islands, Washington DC, WV, Armed Forces Europe/Pacific, or Canada.
What is Evvy’s refund or return policy?
Full refund if you cancel within 24 hours of purchase and the kit hasn’t shipped (most orders placed by 9 a.m. EST Mon–Fri ship the same day). After 24 hours or after shipment and within 14 days of purchase (if your sample isn’t returned), refunds are the kit price minus a US$25–30 processing fee (by geography). Shipping/handling and applicable taxes are non-refundable. No refunds after 14 days of purchase. To request a refund, email support@evvy.com with your order number.
