    Why this form

While many supplements use the Vitamin A precursor Beta-Carotene, some bodies don't effectively convert it. That's why we use a preformed version, the most bioavailable form.

    About the daily value

Think of Vitamin A as a Goldilocks nutrient: you don't want too much or too little. We include a moderate dose so that you don't overdo it with dietary sources mixed in.

    Also found in

Carrots, sweet potatoes, liver, dairy, leafy greens

  • Vitamin B12as methylcobalamin Per serving: 500 mcg Percent daily value: 17857%
    Benefits

Supports nerve health, red blood cell production, and helps prevent postpartum fatigue.

    Why this form

We use the most bioavailable form of Vitamin B12 so that your body can put it to use easily.

    About the daily value

Vitamin B12 is extremely important for fertility and pregnancy; having too little is linked with ovulatory issues, implantation failure, poor egg and embryo quality, miscarriage risk, and neural tube defects. But only 1 to 2% of B12 in supplements actually gets absorbed, so we use a higher dose to help ensure that sufficient levels make it into the bloodstream (this is especially important for vegetarians and vegans, as dietary B12 is found in animal products). Vitamin B12 is non-toxic even at high levels, and any excess gets excreted via urine.

    Also found in

Meat, fish, eggs, dairy, fortified plant foods

  • Vitamin B6as pyridoxal-5-phosphate Per serving: 20mg Percent daily value: 1250%
    Benefits

Helps regulate mood, reduces postpartum depression risk, and supports milk production.

    About the daily value

We include extra B6 (while still sticking below the tolerable upper limit) because it's important for hormone health and research suggests there may be a link between B6 deficiency and early pregnancy loss.

    Also found in

Bananas, poultry, potatoes, fortified cereals, chickpeas

  • Vitamin Cas ascorbic acid Per serving: 100mg Percent daily value: 83%
    Benefits

Boosts immunity, supports wound healing, and enhances iron absorption postpartum.

    Also found in

Citrus fruits, strawberries, bell peppers, broccoli, tomatoes

  • Vitamin D3 as cholecalciferol (vegan) Per serving: 1,000 IU Percent daily value: 167%
    Benefits

Supports bone health, immune function, and, if nursing, transfers to baby via milk for strong bones.

    Why this form

This form of Vitamin D is not only vegan, but also more effective, bioavailable, and stable than D2.

    About the daily value

Because it's estimated that 40% of Americans and Canadians are deficient in this crucial vitamin, we make sure to follow the recommendation of dosing above the daily value. (It's so important, in fact, that we also offer an extra dose in our Calcium + Magnesium + Vitamin D Boost.)

    Also found in

Sunlight, fatty fish, egg yolks, fortified dairy, mushrooms

  • Vitamin Eas D-Alpha-Tocopheryl Succinate Per serving: 17 mg Percent daily value: 89%
    Benefits

Has been shown to increase endometrial thickness in infertile women, potentially improving implantation conditions. IIn women with PCOS, Vitamin E also reduces testosterone levels and improves insulin sensitivity and lipid profiles

    Also found in

Nuts, seeds, spinach, avocado, vegetable oils

  • Zincas zinc bisglycinate Per serving: 13 mg Percent daily value: 100%
    Benefits

Supports immune health, wound healing, and may help balance postpartum hormones.

Algae Oil DHA (Omega-3)

Serving size: 1 softgel30 servings per box

  • Omega-3 DHA from algal oil Per serving: 300 mg DHA 7.5 mg EPA Percent daily value: 100%
    Benefits

Supports brain function, mood stability, and, if nursing, transfers to baby via milk for brain development.

    Why this form

Many supplements get their DHA from fish, but we source ours from algae oil instead because, 1) it's vegan, 2) that's where fish get theirs from anyway, 3) it's less prone to oxidation (so that you get more benefits when you take it), 4) it's better for the environment, and 5) there's no fishy aftertaste!

    About the daily value

This Omega-3 has loads of benefits for you and, if nursing, your baby. Yet it's something that most multivitamins skip because it needs to be delivered in an oil format. We're proud to include an effective dose in our daily packs, saving you the need to buy and sort an extra bottle.

    Also found in

Algae oil, fatty fish, walnuts, flaxseeds, chia seeds

Non-medicinal ingredients

Non-GMO modified tapioca starch, vegetable glycerin, purified water, natural lemon flavor, rosemary extract, mixed tocopherols.

Serving size: 1 capsule30 servings per box

  • Ironas ferrous bisglycinate chelate Per serving: 27 mg Percent daily value: 100%

    Why this form

Good news if Iron gives your stomach trouble: we chose the most gentle form of the mineral.

    About the daily value

We're proud to be one of the only supplements with 100% of the daily value needed postpartum, a time when deficiency is pervasive.

    Also found in

Red meat, lentils, spinach, tofu, fortified cereals

Folate - Postpartum1 mg

Form: 400 mcg folic acid, 600 mcg calcium L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate

Supports cell growth and recovery while enriching milk for your baby’s development.

Nutritional Facts

Amount per serving: 1 mg

Daily Value: 278% 1,667 DFE

Why This Amount?

We include two forms of Folate: Folic Acid and L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF). Only Folic Acid has been proven to prevent neural tube defects, making it the recommended form by the CDC, ACOG, SOGC and Health Canada—and something we'd never skip out on. But because some people have a gene mutation (MTHFR) that limits their ability to process Folic Acid, we also include the more bioavailable 5-MTHF. This rare hybrid approach gets a thumbs up from both OB/GYNs and naturopathic doctors—which is why you'll find Bird&Be supplements sold in fertility clinics and naturopathic clinics across the United States and Canada.

What's Happening
Inside Over Time

  1. 30 Days

    Recovery Begins

Birth is demanding, and blood loss can leave your iron low just as exhaustion sets in. Gentle iron and B12 support healthy red blood cells and the energy your body needs to start recovering.

  2. 60 Days

    Rebuilding Your Reserves

Two months in, your body is still restoring what pregnancy and birth drew down. A full spectrum of vitamins and minerals supports that ongoing recovery, and if you're nursing, DHA and iodine support your baby's developing brain while the optional Lactation Boost helps with supply.

  3. 90 Days

    Staying Replenished

Ongoing recovery and broken sleep keep the demand on your body high. Steady daily support helps protect the nutrient stores pregnancy and feeding draw down, so more of what you take in goes to replenishing you.

  4. Continued Use

    Whatever Comes Next

Recovery isn't linear, and your body keeps rebuilding for months after birth. Consistent support helps you feel like yourself again, whether you're settling into parenthood or starting to think about trying again.

Frequently Asked Questions

I gave birth awhile ago, can I still take The Postpartum?

Yes! At its core, The Postpartum is a fantastic daily multivitamin, giving people with eggs a lot of support with essential nutrients. A high dose of B12 is great for energy, plus it supports the replication of DNA. (Reminder: DNA is like the instruction manual found in all your cells that tells your body how to make proteins.) Replicating DNA takes a lot of energy, so we need our daily doses of Folic Acid and 5-MTHF, Zinc, Magnesium and Iron to lend their support. We also need to bring in the big guns like Selenium, Vitamin C and Vitamin E to help prevent damage to our DNA and keep our body running smoothly.

Is the Postpartum suitable for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes! This formula is vegan!

If you have a specific question about our products, please send us a message at hello@birdandbe.com and we will be happy to help you find the right supplements for you and/or your partner.

I absolutely love the ease and convenience of

The best!

I love this very convenient option to take my vitamins, I always leave one in my bag for ‘just incase I forget’ moments, they happen more than I care to admit! As a busy woman this concept is key for allowing me to take my vitamins everyday!
They also are easy on my stomach, when other options I’ve used have not been. I also love one small box rather than several bottles cluttering up my countertop.
For the price it’s amazing! I’ve looked into what it would cost if I bought them all separately and it’s actually cheaper this way!
I travel and these are also so easy to travel with!
Bravo!

The postpartum

I began taking bird&be vitamins during my pregnancy. I was easily able to switch over from prenatal to the postpartum and I also chose to add on the calcium, magnesium vitamin D booster packs for extra support pp. The individual daily sealed packs are so convenient for busy mom life. Grab and take on the go. The monthly subscription is also such a life saver. I use to be guilty of running out of vitamins and forgetting to restock in time. These show right up at your doorstep! As long as I have a snack, these aren't too harsh on the stomach. Overall these have been a total game changer, and I highly recommend !

The Best Postpartum self-care investment!

I started having The Postpartum with lactation boost supplement when I was 5 weeks postpartum. I wish I had gotten on these sooner. Within 4 days of usage, I could tell the difference in my energy levels, I started to feel like myself again and my brain fog had started to clear up. The readily available vitamin forms like magnesium citrate make it instantly effective. It even helped with the postpartum blues and I feel so much in control of my emotions and mood that I’ve been less anxious and sleeping better with my baby. The lactation boost has definitely helped me keep up my milk supply as I’m now two months in religiously breastfeeding. I don’t need to worry about taking any additional lactation tea or galactagogue. Though it’s on the higher end price-wise for a 30 day supply, it certainly is economical considering how many pills you get in a pack. Love the packaging, it’s like self-care in a li’l packet. Don’t need to think twice on this one. Highly recommend this brand!

Good energy levels, healing & milk supply

I switched from my postnatal from a different brand to the post partum by Bird & Be around 4 weeks post partum. I’ve noticed my energy has been much higher and sustainable with these vitamin packs as well as my milk supply has been full and steady. I had a c section and I also noticed my scar healing was better since the switch. I love the convenience of the packs. I added the lactation support and was happy to see it just came automatically in the packs. I’m also impressed with the choline levels. It’s hard to find pre/postnatal a with choline as an ingredient since the science behind the benefits is new(ish). Overall I’m super satisfied with the postpartum and intend on going with Bird & Be for preconception when it’s time for baby #2!

Love love love

I’ve been using Bird&Be products for over a year and a half now - longer even. Started with the conception pack with coq10 and then pre natal complete once I conceived and now this post partum. All are so pure and gentle and give me such a boost of energy and clarity even with sleepless nights. I 10/10 recommend

Works like magic

This is a serious game changer post partum. I have been taking these for 5 months now and this is my 2nd baby my milk is definitely increased when I take these and I generally have more energy. My hair loss is worse when I forget to take them and I notice a dip in supply. I also have had steady weight as well after showing a proper dip and steady of hormones ❤️ love this product and the prenatal vitamins as well. I needed to see a nutritionist because I was so sick and she said these products are the best she has seen!! Thank you for making such an amazing product and changing women's lives!!

Game changer!

I have been taking these supplements since the day I gave birth and have had such an amazing postpartum and breastfeeding journey so far (currently 4mo PP and a FTM). I had my son via emergency C-Section and prior to giving birth was super worried about milk production since I couldn’t get any colostrum while pregnant and having the c-section but at only 5 days postpartum my lactation consultant was impressed by how quickly that had changed. Since then I’ve managed a significant oversupply that’s enough to feed my baby that likes to eat every two hours (he’s a hungry guy), plus grow a 1,500oz freezer stash and help supplement two other babies through milk donations. I’ve also been told that my milk is magic since it helped one of the babies kick a respiratory infection almost immediately and cognitively the baby has been more bright and energetic since taking my milk. My own little guy has also been super aware and energetic since he left the newborn stage so much so that my breastmilk has been referred to as baby redbull. I am convinced that these supplements are the game changer here for me since i literally don’t do anything else to help my milk supply/milk composition other than drink a single body armour per day and can barely take care of myself otherwise lol!

Great Multi-Vitamin

I like how Bird & Be puts everything in a pack. It’s simple and easy to keep up with. I don’t have to remember to take my different vitamins at separate times. I also like that the post partum pack includes iron. I like that these vitamins are high quality with fertility in mind.

These are changing my postpartum experience

Thus us my second postpartum and I feel so different from the first. I have more energy, more milk and I’m sleeping so
much better. There are so many factors of course, but I can tell these vitamins are supporting the process, of not doing some of the lifting. I also took the prenatals through my pregnancy and highly recommend.

I really enjoy that I have everything I need in one easy pouch. Not to mention, this was the only third party tested POSTpartum vitamins - love that!

I used the gentle prenatal pack during my pregnancy, then switched to this postpartum pack. I’m 4 months PP and have absolutely loved both products.

Like it!

It's one of the most complete vitamins, and I love that it's Canadian. What did surprise me is that it has the same details and percentages of vitamins as the prenatal supplement.

Bird and Be Postnatal Vitamin

I love Bird and Be vitamins! I have been using them at the recommendation of my reproductive endocrinologist for almost 2 years now. I have used the prenatals, postnatals as well as the lactation boost. I love the ease of the monthly subscription. I love the versatility of the vitamin pack options. I feel these have helped me in my recovery postpartum. After starting the lactation boost vitamins, I also was able to breastfeed successfully and am still continuing now at 7 months.
