    Our Early Results Pregnancy Tests look for something called human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone that’s produced by the developing placenta. It enters the bloodstream and is secreted in urine.

    Our ultra-sensitive strips can detect as little as 10 mIU of hCG per mL of urine. That’s why our tests can be used as early as six days before your missed period (and the accuracy earlier than that is really high too.)

    In a lab study, the test detected 98% of pregnancies two days before the expected period, 97% three days before, 89% four days before, and 68% of pregnancies five days before.). The only way to detect levels lower than that is with a blood test at a clinic.
    How to Use
    1. Pee into a clean, dry container (try our Collapsible Cup - designed to perfectly balance the strip!)
    2. Take the strip out of the sealed pouch and dip the white tip into urine. Don’t go further than the MAX marker line. Hold it for five seconds.
    3. Lay the strip on a clean, dry, non-absorbent surface. We like to place it across the mouth of our collapsible cup
    4. Set your timer for five minutes, then read your results. Make sure you don’t take longer than five minutes, as results may no longer be accurate.

    I am happy there are 5 tests for such a great price. I could not wait when I woke up this morning (Wednesday) with my period 6 days away (Monday). Knowing I had 5 tests, it was an easy decision to test early, knowing if it was negative there was still a chance closer to my period. Well, it looks like I only needed the one! BFP 10DPO, 5 days before expected period.
    For anyone in the dreaded TWW, my only symptoms were unusually sore breasts 5DPO & on. Other than some anxieties the past couple of days, I have been happy, calm, & SO HUNGRY.

    Worth the $

    I don’t write reviews unless it’s something great. If you test a lot and test early , these are the best. This picked up my positive at 8dpo AM, while all the other tests including first response were negatives. I went searched if bird and bee had indents but couldn’t find anyone who dealt with indents form this brand. Sure enough at 9dpo bird and bee was strong and the rest of the brands followed with positive but bird and bee for the win on the earliest positive! Impressed! I love to watch Line progression but on my last two strips so might not be testing with bird and bee for the long stretch. Pic of my first 8dpo POS and then the 9dpo as well!

    excessive packaging

    I was glad to find these less-plastic, somewhat lower-cost early tests. But if you’re going to advertise less waste, why ship a package the size of a slim CD case really in a way-too-big cardboard box stuffed with packing paper? I could barely find my teeny tiny bundle of tests in there. They could have easily fit in a small manila envelope in my mailbox.

    Very sensitive test

    I've used this test in both positive and negative cycles and I would absolutely recommend it. When it is negative, there is no shadow or indent to make me doubt. On another cycle, I've had a positive as early as 8 days before my missed period. Because it is cheap and convenient I could keep testing every 2 days and watch lines get darker.

    Just be aware that testing this early makes it possible to notice some chemical pregnancies that we would have missed.

    Excellent!

    These are not only inexpensive compared to many other tests, but the branding is elegant and they are compact for storage. I like that the packaging is cardboard too.

    I will say if you decide to test 5 days before your period, know that there is a 25% chance you may have a chemical pregnancy. We got a faint positive and then watched the line fade away over the next few days. We were devastated. But now, just a cycle later, I am pregnant again and this time the line has gotten darker than the control :) 6 weeks and counting!
