Our ovulation tests are designed to give you fast, accurate insights in the comfort of your own home.

Our tests detect LH, the luteninzing hormone, which spikes before you ovulate. Knowing when your fertile window is can help you better prepare when trying to conceive.

How to Use

The pre-ovulation part of each person's cycle can vary, but the luteal phase (the part after ovulation) is rather consistent at two weeks. That's why understanding your cycle length is key for tracking ovulation. If you don't know how long your cycle is, you can use the average cycle length of 28 days as a benchmark—that means you'd start testing on day 12, which is 11 days after the first day of your period.Do one test per day over a five-day period, or until you detect an LH surge.

Each box comes with ten test strips so if needed, you can start testing earlier to make sure you don't miss your fertile window.Just four easy steps and 5 minutes:

Pee into a clean, dry container (try our Collapsible Cup - designed to perfectly balance the strip!)— You can do this any time of day, but it’s best to limit how much you drink for about two hours before you take the test to avoid diluting your urine.
Take the room-temperature strip out of the sealed pouch and dip the white tip into urine. Don’t go further than the MAX marker line. Hold it for five seconds.
Lay the strip on a clean, dry, non-absorbent surface. We like to place it across the mouth of the urine container.
Set your timer for five minutes, then read your results. Make sure you don’t take longer than five minutes, as results may no longer be accurate.

When should I start testing?

Take your average cycle length and subtract 16 to get the cycle day you should start testing on. So, if your cycle is usually 26 days, you’ll want to start testing on cycle day 10. What makes Bird&Be’s Ovulation Tests an eco-friendly option?

Chances are that you’ve now learned that getting pregnant isn’t necessarily as easy as high school sex-ed class made it seem. It can take many cycles, each with many ovulation strips. And if you think about how many people are trying to conceive at any given moment (there are almost four million births per year in the U.S. alone), the waste adds up fast. Plastic wands and digital tests aren’t a sustainable option. Our smaller strips limit what ends up in a landfill so that we can all make better choices for the planet.

I’ve been using the basal body temperature (BBT) method to track ovulation. Does this test replace BBT?

A spike in your basal body temperature tells you that ovulation already happened. This is good for confirming that you ovulated, but not too helpful to time intercourse, insemination or ovulation. Bird&Be’s Ovulation Tests predict when ovulation is about to occur, which is key if you’re trying to get pregnant.

I really like these tests and have purchased them several times now. They are easy to use, and I haven’t had any invalid tests so far. They are also pretty affordable.

Easy to use, it does give you a gradient of results so it'll show a light line but you are not at peak until it's a dark line. Took a little to get used to but the more frequent I tested, the more it made sense! You do need to test a few days in a row so you can really understand the results. Happy with the product though

I was hesitant to try, but was persuaded by many tiktok influencers. Though I had positives from multiple brands 10DPO, the Bird and Be one was the darkest. I’m saving my last one for my first BFP. I also got the OPKs and was pleasantly surprised with how well they worked and clear they were to read.

Glad I ordered these. I have been tracking my ovulation through BBT for over a year now so I was pretty confident in timing my fertile window/ovulation, but having these tests made it crystal clear when I would ovulate. Added confidence in your cycle is never a bad thing when TTC.

This was my first time tracking my ovulation and these strips were very easy to use! The directions were simple and the included card to hold all your tests to track your progression day to day is such an amazing additive. The only constructive feedback I can give is I wish the strips could be purchased in a larger “bulk” pack, I ended up needing all 9 test strips that my kit came with because I ovulated so late. Purchasing a 1 months supply at a time is a bit daunting when you may be tracking for a while trying to conceive. Overall though, I loved these!
