  • Cholineas choline bitartrate Per serving: 150 mg Percent daily value: 27%
    Benefits

Supports your brain function, memory, and baby’s nervous system development.

    About the daily value

We're proud to offer one of the highest doses of Choline on the market. It's an expensive ingredient, but a critical one for fetal development. Cover your full daily needs by pairing this supplement with 2 to 3 eggs.

    Also found in

Eggs, beef liver, salmon, soybeans, broccoli

  • Chromiumas chromium citrate Per serving: 100 mcg Percent daily value: 222%
    Benefits

Helps regulate your blood sugar levels and supports energy metabolism during pregnancy.

    Also found in

Whole grains, broccoli, potatoes, meats, nuts

  • Copperas copper citrate Per serving: 2 mg Percent daily value: 154%
    Benefits

Aids in red blood cell production and supports the formation of baby’s heart and blood vessels.

    About the daily value

Daily values are based on a minimum recommended dose, not the optimal amount for cell division and immune function. That's why we use a higher amount of Copper—it gets you peak benefits while also helping keep your Zinc levels balanced.

    Also found in

Shellfish, nuts, seeds, whole grains, dark chocolate

  • Folateas 400 mcg folic acid, 600 mcg calcium L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate Per serving: 1 mg Percent daily value: 278% 1,667 DFE
    Benefits

Crucial for baby’s brain and spinal cord development, helps prevent birth defects.

    Why this form

Governing health authorities recommend that all reproductive-aged females take at least 400 mcg DFE (which stands for "dietary folate equivalent") via Folic Acid daily for at least 2 to 3 months before conception, and then increase to 600 mcg DFE during pregnancy. Our formulas meet that requirement. And for those with MTHFR mutations, which means you can process some Folic Acid but not super efficiently, we also include 5-MTHF at 1,000 mcg DFE. So whether you have a MTHFR mutation or not, you won’t get too much to cause any health concerns, while still getting more than enough to support your body and baby before and during pregnancy.

    About the daily value

We include two forms of Folate: Folic Acid and L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF). Only Folic Acid has been proven to prevent neural tube defects, making it the recommended form by the CDC, ACOG, SOGC and Health Canada, and something we'd never skip out on. But because some people have a gene mutation (MTHFR) that limits their ability to process Folic Acid, we also include the more bioavailable 5-MTHF. This rare hybrid approach gets a thumbs up from both OB/GYNs and naturopathic doctors, which is why you'll find Bird&Be supplements sold in fertility clinics and naturopathic clinics across the United States and Canada.

    Benefits

    Why this form

    About the daily value

Think of Vitamin A as a Goldilocks nutrient: you don't want too much or too little. We include a moderate dose so that you don't overdo it with dietary sources mixed in.

    Also found in

Carrots, sweet potatoes, liver, dairy, leafy greens

  • Vitamin B12as methylcobalamin Per serving: 500 mcg Percent daily value: 17857%
    Benefits

Supports egg quality, red blood cell production, and energy metabolism for fertility.

    Why this form

We use the most bioavailable form of Vitamin B12 so that your body can put it to use easily.

    About the daily value

Vitamin B12 is extremely important for fertility and pregnancy; having too little is linked with ovulatory issues, implantation failure, poor egg and embryo quality, miscarriage risk, and neural tube defects. But only 1 to 2% of B12 in supplements actually gets absorbed, so we use a higher dose to help ensure that sufficient levels make it into the bloodstream (this is especially important for vegetarians and vegans, as dietary B12 is found in animal products). Vitamin B12 is non-toxic even at high levels, and any excess gets excreted via urine.

    Also found in

Meat, fish, eggs, dairy, fortified plant foods

  • Vitamin B6as pyridoxal-5-phosphate Per serving: 20mg Percent daily value: 1250%
    Benefits

Helps with morning sickness, supports brain development, and regulates your mood.

    About the daily value

We include extra B6 (while still sticking below the tolerable upper limit) because it's important for hormone health and research suggests there may be a link between B6 deficiency and early pregnancy loss.

    Also found in

Bananas, poultry, potatoes, fortified cereals, chickpeas

  • Vitamin Cas ascorbic acid Per serving: 150mg Percent daily value: 175%
    Benefits

Boosts immunity, supports iron absorption, and helps with collagen formation for baby’s growth.

    Also found in

Citrus fruits, strawberries, bell peppers, broccoli, tomatoes

  • Vitamin D3 as cholecalciferol (vegan) Per serving: 1000 IU Percent daily value: 167%
    Benefits

Supports bone health, immune function, and helps baby’s bones develop properly.

    Why this form

This form of Vitamin D is not only vegan, but also more effective, bioavailable, and stable than D2.

    About the daily value

Because it's estimated that 40% of Americans and Canadians are deficient in this crucial vitamin, we make sure to follow the recommendation of dosing above the daily value. (It's so important, in fact, that we also offer an extra dose in our Calcium + Magnesium + Vitamin D Boost.)

    Also found in

Sunlight, fatty fish, egg yolks, fortified dairy, mushrooms

    Benefits

Algae Oil DHA (Omega-3)

Serving size: 1 softgel30 servings per box

  • Omega-3 DHA from algal oil Per serving: 300 mg DHA 7.5 mg EPA Percent daily value: 100%
    Benefits

Supports egg quality, hormone balance, and reduces inflammation for fertility.

    Why this form

Many supplements get their DHA from fish, but we source ours from algae oil instead because, 1) it's vegan, 2) that's where fish get theirs from anyway, 3) it's less prone to oxidation (so that you get more benefits when you take it), 4) it's better for the environment, and 5) there's no fishy aftertaste!

    About the daily value

This Omega-3 has loads of fertility benefits, and it's something that most prenatals skip because it needs to be delivered in an oil format. We're proud to include an effective dose in our daily packs, saving you the need to buy and sort an extra bottle.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's different about the Complete Prenatal Pack?

Our comprehensive prenatal blend includes easy-to-absorb Iron to help your blood transport oxygen, Vitamin D for calcium absorption and immune support, and Iodine, Zinc and Selenium for thyroid support. This formula also includes Folic Acid and highly bioavailable Methylated Folate (5-MTHF), Vitamin B12 and Choline to support fetal brain, spine and nervous system development if you are already pregnant. Added bonus: our DHA comes from algae oil so there's no fishy aftertaste!

Our medical and naturopathic doctors screened many prenatal vitamins on the market and ensured ours were packed with everything they identified was missing from others. A key element in all of our formulas is the bioavailability of our raw ingredients—the vitamins and minerals are in their most absorbable form to help your body process them efficiently and effectively.

I'm not pregnant or trying to conceive. Can I still take these prenatal supplements?

Yes! It's recommended to take prenatal vitamins for at least three months before trying to conceive, but reproductive-aged women and people with eggs can take a prenatal vitamin daily. This recommendation is rooted in the fact that close to half of pregnancies in the United States are unintended and many people might not know that they are pregnant for the first few weeks. Since the baby grows rapidly during the first trimester (brain, spine, heart and organs are among the first to develop!), it is best to ensure that you are getting enough of the essential vitamins and minerals to support and optimize fetal development.

When can I start taking the complete prenatals and for how long?

Doctors recommend starting a prenatal supplement at least three months before you try to conceive. Our Female Fertility Prenatal Power Pack is perfect for that preconception period (it has extra support for egg health!), but you can also take the Complete Prenatal Pack during that time. Already pregnant? Start taking the Complete Prenatal Pack as soon as you find out—one packet daily to ensure your body is getting the best combination of nutrients it needs to support you and your baby. Continue to take your prenatal throughout pregnancy, and then, in the fourth trimester, switch to the Postpartum. Feeling nauseous? Try the Gentle Prenatal Pack until your nausea subsides.

What's the difference between the Complete Prenatal Pack and the Female Fertility Prenatal Power Pack?

The Complete Prenatal Pack and the Female Fertility Prenatal Power Pack share the same foundation of essential nutrients needed for pregnancy,Iron, Vitamin D, Iodine, Zinc, Selenium, Folic Acid, Methylated Folate (5-MTHF), Choline and vegan DHA.

What's different about the Female Fertility Prenatal Power Pack is that it gives your eggs an extra dose of antioxidant lovin' if your body's clock is ticking. The Power Prenatal provides a boost of CoQ10 (Coenzyme Q10), NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine), and other antioxidants to give your eggs the fuel they need to perform optimally.

Is the Complete Prenatal Pack vegan?

Yes! The Complete Prenatal Pack is vegan.

Can I take this product if I'm taking other medication?

If you have any concerns about medication, consider consulting your healthcare practitioner before use. We suggest spacing out your supplements from medication by at least three hours. Why is there less B12 in the Complete Prenatal Pack?

We understand why you’d want clarity on this change and want to reassure you that the original amount of Vitamin B12 in our Prenatal Essentials for Females was well within safe limits for pregnancy. It was approved under Health Canada’s guidelines, passed a rigorous formula approval process, and was thoroughly reviewed by our medical team and board of advisors. There is no evidence linking that amount to any pregnancy risks, developmental risks, or other health concerns, and it remains Health-Canada approved for safety.

The recent update to our Complete Prenatal Pack formula was not made due to any safety concerns. In fact, the B12 amount in our Gentle Prenatal Pack formula has remained the same at 1000 mcg. The small reduction in B12 for this product was part of a broader adjustment where we slightly reduced a few nutrients to make the formula gentler on sensitive stomachs and improve manufacturing consistency, while still fully meeting the nutritional needs for fertility and pregnancy.

We regularly review the latest research and customer feedback to ensure our formulas are safe, effective, and comfortable to take. Your health and the health of your baby remain our highest priority, and our team is always here to answer any questions along your journey.

Like it

My only problem is the amount of pills because I had a package of 2, a prenatal and a vitamin D supplement . After that I love it, it is clean, no side effects (for me ).

I really enjoy these prenatal vitamins

They are good and very convenient! A lot of people said they would make me nauseous but I didn’t find them hard on my stomach at all! I actually really enjoy them!

Love it!

I used Bird & Be before I was pregnant. My midwife prescribed me other prenatals and they made me so nauseous, so I switched back to Bird & Be with no issues. Love these and love the little packages they come in which make it easier to take my prenatals on the go or pack them for work or travel! Thanks Bird & Be!

Convenience, Quality, and Peace of Mind

I’ve been taking the Bird&Be Complete Prenatal Pack throughout my pregnancy, and it’s been one of the easiest prenatal vitamins I’ve ever incorporated into my routine. I love the simplicity of the prepackaged daily packets, they take all the guesswork out of remembering what to take and make it so convenient, whether I’m at home or on the go.

One of the biggest benefits for me is how gentle these vitamins are on my stomach. Many prenatals can be difficult to tolerate, but I’ve had a great experience with Bird&Be and haven’t experienced the discomfort I’ve had with other brands.

The value is also exceptional, especially considering the quality of the ingredients and formulation. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care has gone into creating these products. I also appreciate supporting a Canadian company that is so thorough in its research and development. Knowing that their formulations are evidence-based and carefully designed gives me confidence that I’m getting the nutrients I need during pregnancy.

I highly recommend Bird&Be to anyone looking for a high-quality prenatal that’s convenient, effective, and worth the investment.

Fishy

I am a big fan of bird and be, both my husband and I used the preconception packs, and as a provider myself this is a brand I trust the ingredients. But now that I switched to the prenatal, holy cow, that fishy smell and taste is there with these and I dont even have bad nausea or morning sickness.

Thank you so much for your kind words and for trusting Bird&Be through your fertility It truly means a lot, especially coming from a provider.

We hear you on the smell, and you’re absolutely not alone in noticing that. If the scent is a bit marine-like or “fishy,” what you’re likely picking up on is choline, a critical (but sometimes a little stinky!) nutrient. Choline plays a major role in egg quality before conception and supports key physiological and neural development in your baby during pregnancy. Postpartum, it continues to support tissue repair, cognitive function, and recovery.

Because of its natural properties, choline can sometimes have a fishy odor, especially if the vitamins have been exposed to heat. The good news is that this doesn’t impact the quality or effectiveness at all, just the smell.

A few tips that may help:

* Store your prenatals in the fridge or a cool, dry place to minimize the scent
* Take them with juice to make them easier to get down
* Take them after a meal on a full stomach

We really appreciate you sharing this feedback, and we’re always here if you have questions or need support

Amazing product!

I'm really happy with the Pregnancy Bundle. I appreciate the packaging and that I don't have to think about which pills I'm taking everyday. This is so much easier and cheaper than buying each pill separately and sorting them into a pill box. It's already portioned out for me! I also love that I can throw a little packet into my lunch bag or my purse when I eat out. It's a relief knowing I'm getting the right amount of everything my body needs.

Absolutely love these!

The only down side of these prenatals is that there are a lot of pills but it is totally worth it for the benefits. Make sure to take the prenatal pack with food as the iron can cause a bit of nausea. The ingredients really make me feel good about what my baby is getting. Definitely recommend!!

After my first month, taking this duo I could feel and see the difference! Stronger nails, better immune system, and a healthy first trimester! Not to mention the freedom from my previous iron supplement bloat!

Highly Recommend

These are the best prenatal vitamins I have ever come across, I especially like that they added choline and methylated folate. These don’t hurt my stomach at all and I feel good about knowing my baby is getting everything they need. Well worth the price for a healthy baby and healthy momma!
