FAQs

  • What should I look for in an iron supplement for fertility?

Look for a gentle, bioavailable form, since standard iron often causes stomach upset. All three of our iron-containing prenatals, including the Complete Prenatal Pack, use Ferrous Bisglycinate Chelate at the doctor-recommended 27 mg dose, in its own capsule for better absorption.

  • Will the iron in these prenatal vitamins make me constipated?

Iron is a common cause of prenatal constipation, but ours is formulated to be gentler. We use Ferrous Bisglycinate Chelate, a bioavailable, non-constipating form, in its own capsule. If discomfort continues, staying hydrated and adding fiber to your diet can help.

  • How much iron is in Bird&Be's prenatal vitamins?

Each of our iron-containing prenatal packs delivers 27 mg of Ferrous Bisglycinate Chelate daily, the doctor-recommended dose for pregnancy and preconception. It's formulated in its own capsule, separate from your other nutrients, to support better stability and absorption.

  • Which prenatal with iron is right for me?

It depends on where you are in your journey. Trying to conceive? The Female Fertility Power Prenatal Pack adds egg-health antioxidants. Already pregnant? The Complete Prenatal Pack has you covered. Dealing with nausea? The Gentle Prenatal Pack is easier on your stomach.

  • Do I need to take a separate iron supplement with my prenatal?

No, all three of our iron-containing prenatals already include the full 27 mg doctor-recommended dose. Adding more iron isn't necessary and may cause side effects. If you've been diagnosed with anemia, check with your doctor about your specific needs.
